I was excited to use the app at first but then it started giving me issues. Firstly, it adds random commas to things I type AS I SEND THEM. So it's not like it's in my entry field so I can correct it, it just is all chopped up by commas randomly after being sent. Also it'd be nice to have some kind of choice on how to sort messages, like by date instead of just alphabetically. There's also no way to mute notifications for specific contacts. So I'm less than thrilled w/ the app at this point. 😕

I am a part of the forced migration from the Samsung messenger so I expected for Googles messenger to have that functionality as a baseline - it does not there is no customization for the background for messages. There is an odd delay/lag to attach pictures, gifs or anything. When I send a text message,the message sits in the box as if it wasn't sent and gets sent in duplicate/this is weird. Actually sending messages is just glitchy altogether. Can't copy and paste photos to send.

I purchased this for a secondary phone for the messaging option due to Android dropping their app. It worked a few months after the lifetime payment, and then all of a sudden, it stopped showing all of my messages except 1. when a new message came, I received the notification, clicked to read, and after going back to app, messages disappeared and couldn't be recovered. had to go back to Google messages which is fine. i would say don't pay for it.
